HEALTH AND SAFETY

Often working with heavy machinery and on industrial sites, we take health and safety in the
workplace and on the open road very seriously at HOOKER PACIFIC.

Our stringent Health and Safety Policies are incorporated in our quality management systems,
which are ISO 9001:2000 accredited. The majority of our staff are NZQA accredited through the
appropriate Industry Training Organisation. To train and assist our staff, we have a dedicated,
experienced team of supervisors and trainers. We also work with outside agencies such as the
Fire Service, Ministry of Transport, Land Transport NZ Ltd, Industry Training Organisations and
Professional Driving Schools to ensure our staff are trained in the latest industry and health
and safety requirements

Our effective commitment to health and safety is reflected in HOOKER PACIFIC being awarded
the New Zealand Government’s Accident Compensation Corporation’s (ACC) Workplace Safety
Management Practices Certificate - Tertiary Level Status – the highest accreditation available
